It Takes a Village

It's so awesome to see the race family come together and help our brothers & sisters over pit wall. For that, I thank you. I'd also be remiss if I didn't take a quick minute to give a shout-out to a couple additional nodes in the race economy that have helped me in this endeavor, while they too are dealing with their own slowdown in work from the CV-19 pandemic.

The Pits Are Closed

March 12, 2020 was a dark day for professional motor racing in the United States, and around the world. With the cancellation of WEC's 1,000-mile Sebring race, and eventual postponement of IMSA's 12 Hours of Sebring, a chain reaction of race event cancellations spread like wildfire across the US. By the time the dust settled, all professional GT racing in the US was wiped off the calendar until Summer 2020, at the soonest.

"Flatten the Curve"

In response to the ongoing CV-19 crisis, Hardpoint Outfitters has partnered with motorsport apparel and design firm 8380 Laboratories to produce a line of "Flatten the Curve" products. These limited edition products will be sold exclusively through this store until the cloud of CV-19 has lifted, and professional sportscar racing resumes in the United States.

ALL PROCEEDS from the sale of these items will go to The Hardpoint Paddock Foundation supporting out of work fly-in and contract crew workers.

The Hardpoint Paddock Foundation

Established in response to the CV-19 crisis, The Hardpoint Paddock Foundation will work with US-based professional sportscar racing teams to provide emergency financial assistance to contract and other fly-in crew members hardest hit by the CV-19 crisis.
